It’s that time again. It’s the day for all of us to remember our fathers and all that they have done for us throughout our lives.  Here comes the “funny” t-shirts, personalized coffee mugs and of the course the infamous father’s day tie.

A Brief History

Starting back in 1972 when Father’s Day was finally recognized like Mother’s Day, the hideous tie has been a staple of what fathers have received for the past 40+ years. Whether it be a gag gift or a serious tie for work, it’s time to break the cycle. Avoid gifts like these and all other apparel including underwear and  items like hair loss products and scented candles. Father’s  Day is now a 12.7 billion dollar industry and is closing the gap with Mother’s Day with 18 billion spent annually. Wouldn’t it be nice to get him something that he would enjoy.
